Socks has been all over the ranch, down the trails, crosses water, steep banks are not a problem and goes right through thick brush. Oh Boy -- did I have a blast riding this young gal! I put her through her paces, tested her and RODE her, she was AWESOME. Socks is started on neck reining crosses whatever you point her at. She will go in whatever direction you would like to take her training. Just a super great horse and has been hauled to various trail rides and cattle round ups! A fun horse!!

Goes where you tell him and when you tell him. Very responsive to his rider, best be hanging on when you ask him to move out! I would say an intermediate rider, some beginners are probably okay as well, as long they hold when they tell him to go. Very quiet, not spooky.

Learning is a cinch for this horse and he's the same way every time you take him out of the pasture no matter how long he has sat! Very easy to work with, willing to learn, smart, quiet and doesn't get riled up. Dan has never offered to buck, rides or drives, colorful and looks great under harness or saddle and will make a wonderful 2 in 1 horse. Take on a trail ride on Saturday and pull a carriage for a wedding on Sunday! We would not reccommend for a complete beginner as Dan is super quiet but has life. Dan is a real fun horse!
